Lantana Golf Club Review
March 17, 2026

Since retiring, every year Kathy and I make a stop in Corinth, Texas, to visit our daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids

We park Dee-Luxe, Big-Dee and Mini-Dee in Lantana RV Village. And guess what?
Lantana RV Park just happens to be less than a mile from the Lantana Golf Club.

I have been driving past this country club for years now, wanting to play their track. It always looks so nice, and the greens just seem to call out my name as I drive by them every single time.
Sadly for me – Lantana is a private club, and as many of you may know, the only way to play a private club is to be a member or be invited by a member.
But NOT today, today would be different!
Here is how it happened. A few days ago, Will, a fellow RV neighbor in Lantana RV Village, invited me to join him in a round of golf at Lantana Golf Club. Of course I said yes. Then he said, “Well I have to see if there is a spot for you with the person who is the member in our group.” And no sooner had Will finished that statement, then Monty, the club member, stepped outside. We promptly walked over and asked if I could join the group. Monty gave the OK, and I was in. Wow, that was a close one.
Now I know what many of you are asking: “What about Kathy?” Of course I asked if there was space for Kathy. Unfortunately, there was not. But, if I was being totally honest – I was going to go regardless!
I just had to break the news to Kathy.
I was sure my favorite golfing partner would understand. She did. However, not without tons of ribbing and side comments for the next few days. Let’s just say, she totally milked it!
Now back to today. As the four of us golfers gathered to drive over to Lantana Golf Club, we did our formal introductions and golf small talk. We all commented about how windy it was. There were 25 mph winds with gusts up to 35 mph. Not so great golfing weather – which made Kathy snicker. Worried that my fellow golfers would decide not to golf due to the high winds, I kept my mouth shut because I wanted to see Lantana Golf Club.
Lantana Golf Club is inviting from the second you walk in the door. We were greeted and helped at the clubhouse right away. Monty, or “Mr. Gardener” as the staff referred to him, was acknowledged by everyone that we passed.

It seemed to be standard club protocol.

The bar room was an open area with TVs and views of the course from almost any seat. Kailey was upbeat and a great bartender. She made sure we all had the drinks we wanted and engaged with us the perfect amount.
We had enough time to go to the range, hit a few chips, and take some practice putts. Each of the practice areas was well-maintained, and the greens were cut the same as the greens on the course, which made it great for warming up.

From the very first tee I could see and feel that Lantana Golf Club was going to be a very nice course. I was not disappointed.
Every hole was well-manicured with a hole layout that did not look or feel like you were repeating any of the holes. Lantana Golf Club took the time to make 18 distinctive holes. The water, sand, and trees were all expertly used to offer a challenge without discouraging aggressive play. The fairways were wide with bunkers encouraging you to place a good drive in-between them. The water was used to make an island green, and a couple over or splash approach shots. There wasn’t a hole that I didn’t like.

The only thing that I wish was different was the wind….and I am pretty sure that Lantana Golf Club had nothing to do with that.

Lantana also had the beverage cart going. Selena and Kristen came around a few times during our round. They were both nice, full of smiles, and quick to provide plenty of beverages to keep us going.
One of the best cart teams I have come across in a while!
My favorite part of the course was the guys I played golf with. Monty, Will, and Matt were great!

We played wolf. A great game to play when you don’t know the other players skill level.
I am sure it helped with the many laughs we had as we played. And, as Will said, “I would be a good golfer if it wasn’t windy.”
It felt like we all had our moments of greatness and disaster. Or as they always said on the show “Wide World of Sports” – we experienced “The Thrill of Victory….and the Agony of Defeat!”
None the less, we played our first round of golf together like we were old friends that had played together for decades. Joking, laughing, and smacking our foreheads after someone (usually Will) said something. It truly was a great day for sure.
Based on our scorecard, Lantana Golf Club scores a Birdie.
This course has everything a golfer could want. I know it is a members-only club, and you can’t just walk in off the street and play. But, if you want to join a golf club in the Lantana area, check out Lantana Golf Club. I would if I lived here for sure – but before that I have to figure out how to get a tee time so Kathy can join me!
